Website login

Hi,

Is it possible to login to the (mobile) website using the API? I am trying
to display the mobile site from inside my app and would like to only have
to login once. Currently I think you would have to login once to the API to
get the account URL then once to log in to the web site.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

It is not possible to get a user session in the main FreeAgent app (mobile
or otherwise) using the API. Can I ask what you mean by “I am trying to
display the mobile site from inside my app”? If you wish to show your
users a link to log into FreeAgent you can direct them to
Log in to your FreeAgent account rather than to the login page for a
specific subdomain. If you are displaying information to the user about
their account from the API then you do not have to get the user to log into
their account from your app. The user can authorise your app which will
give you an OAuth token to access their account:

Kind regards,

Hi,

I am basically trying to do a small wrapper around the mobile site to make
it feel more like a native app without having to re-implement all the
features of the mobile site. Then add a few extra features using the API.
Thanks for the link to log in however I was not aware of that. I thought
you had to get the sub-domain from https://api.freeagent.com/v2/company.

Cheers,
