Hello. As HMRC is now doing this tax-digital and using AI for auditing - can we please request 2 things, as a matter of urgency?
- EXACT figures - global setting. We need s simple global setting for the system to display ACTUAL figures, not rounded. I know rounded is old-school - but this is catching things out and causing a sizeable amount of unnecessary admin time.
(I replied in another thread but it’s a year old, and although it said it was being expedited, it’s still not available).
- VAT report sorting - chronological: When HMRC requests VAT spreads for VAT audits, the specific HMRC intstructions are that purchases and sales are NOT separated*. A recent, AI/algorithym-triggered VAT review cost me almost a day exporting the data, merging, and sorting.
*This is not stated on the general HMRC web site, you only get this after having records requested for a review by HMRC.
Please provide an option in the VAT screen to just do a chronological view of all transactions for any HMRC requirements.
Thank you.
Is there ANY response to this at all? 24 days not even a note? HMRC reqs aren;t going away… Thanks.
Hi Martin,
Just so you’re aware the API forum is not a FreeAgent Support channel, so there may not be a quick response from FreeAgent Engineers or staff- unlike our Support team who provide super fast Customer Support. We want this forum to be a space where devs can lead the conversation. Our goal is to foster a peer-to-peer environment where you can brainstorm, share custom solutions, and troubleshoot together.
To allow that community dynamic to grow, the FreeAgent team will generally step back from immediate replies, stepping in occasionally.
For your post here, is this a feature request for the app itself, or an API feature request?
I am familiar with the VAT report sorting request and will feed this back to the product team. For the global settings, would I be correct in thinking this is a request to view figures as their full non rounded value? Eg. Rather than £10.47 you would view as £10.4744?
Thank you,
Carly
