"Unknown Application" error with newly created app

Hi,

I’ve just created a new app in the Developer Dashboard but I’m getting the
“Unknown Application” error when trying to authorize.

What I’ve tried:

  • Authorizing via my own app’s OAuth flow
  • Authorizing via Google OAuth Playground with my credentials
  • Both give the same “Unknown Application - We don’t recognise this app” error

App details:

  • OAuth identifier: 6LNc58tIVx7q7P0nXHcZxQ
  • Created today (3 Feb 2026)
  • Redirect URIs are correctly configured (including the Google OAuth Playground URI)

I’ve double-checked that I’m passing the OAuth identifier exactly as shown
in the dashboard. Since Google OAuth Playground also fails with the same
error, I don’t think it’s a code issue on my end.

I saw a similar thread where Katie_FA mentioned this error occurs when the
Client ID isn’t recognized. Could someone check if my app is properly
registered/activated?

I’ve had a look on our end and can see you have an app registered with us. This app has the OAuth identifier of “6LNc58tIVx7q7POnXHcZxQ”. The problem might’ve been that you were using a 0 instead of an O.
