Theme CSS Alternative Fonts

Hello,

The classic theme (the customizable theme) includes 38 fonts that can be used from Google Fonts. These fonts will be processed by the PDF rendered. Why is there the limitation to use them within the custom written theme as described at https://support.freeagent.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115001219090-Customise-an-invoice-theme-using-CSS#h_01FZ0QXEG0A8GXJQ3G8CNQV07F ? I want to use Raleway which is a font the PDF renderer can clear use but it does work when I use
@import url(“https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Raleway:wght@300;400;700,900&display=swap”);

These option provided do not fit with the company branding and it is very frustrating that something as simple as the font choice it not available.

Is there a work around? Anything at all that can be done?

There are so many limitations with Freeagent. There needs to be much serious development.

Thanks

James

Hi James! I’m Simon, an engineer at FreeAgent. I’m afraid custom CSS themes for invoices only support a limited pool of fonts. The service that renders invoice PDFs that use these themes limits access to external assets, like custom Google fonts, for security reasons. This is a different service to the one that renders invoices using a theme created in the Custom Theme builder.

For that reason I can’t provide you with a workaround, but I would be interested to know what you’re trying to achieve in case you’d like me to open a feature request.
