Sandbox accounts

Hi,

Really trying to get my head around the v2 api and seem to be having non
stop issues. The API docs list a number of incorrect urls for starters
which doesn’t help things (links to the OAuth playground etc are missing
the vital ‘v2’ part of the url).

What’s the deal with sandbox accounts? Are these supposed to be full test
accounts? I’ve set up a number and in all cases I never receive a
confirmation email and in most cases I have never been able to login. Even
when I can login it never takes me anywhere.

This is making it impossible to test anything with the new API. Am i
missing something here or is the whole v2 api/sandbox setup just not ready
for any useful testing?

Any help would be appreciated as we would really like to develop an app
using the new api.

Hi Steve,

The sandbox accounts are still moderating signup emails so sorry for
not sending them through - you should now have received them. The
sandbox accounts are full accounts but will be periodically reset.

The urls in the documentation should be correct and they do take the
form api.freeagent.com/v2 or api.sandbox.freeagent.com/v2 . We’re
still updating and finalising things so there will be errors and
omissions. Bug reports are welcome!

Hi Steve,

I had the some problems logging in too but I thought it was caused by
some script blocking add-ons of my browser.
But when I cleared the cache and reopened the browser it started working.
I had some problems using Firefox and none using Chrome.

The documentation “should” be correct, no question about that… But e.g.
in the example it mentions the wrong url (without the /v2).

You can then access the FreeAgent API for the Sandbox account you
authorised. For example try:
