Retrieving timeslips via API vs FreeAgent front end (User access level)

Hi all,

I have noticed that when retrieving timeslips via API it is quite user level dependent, so I am only able to retrieve any timeslips under my own name with the current access my user has. Strangely, on the front end of FreeAgent under projects I can see all of the timeslips. Ultimately I just need to calculate how many hours have been consumed against each project. At a company level they are trying to avoid exposing a higher user access that could expose confidential information, so I believe this is the highest level I can get.

Is there another way to retrieve the same level of information (time spent against a project for all users) via API? If not, what would be the lowest level of user access needed to do so? At the project level of the timeslip level I do not seem to be able to get the same data, which seems very strange.

Thank you.

Hi ZaneCPlus,

Thanks for raising this - you’re right that it’s not something that’s currently possible on the API, however I agree with you that it’s a feature we would like to add.

I’ve raised a feature request for this so that it can be triaged and considered by the appropriate team for being included with the API.

Thanks for the response, Will. Understood.

What is the lowest level of user access that would be required to get all timeslips from all users via API please?
