This has now been promoted to the “most requested feature” on Fabio 
It’s even smaller than the recently-released write-capability for the price_list_items endpoint. I note there was a request for it in Apr '13.
We don’t currently have this on our roadmap, but we’ll add a vote for this feature request and we’ll update this thread with any updates on it
