Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet in the API?

Hi all,

I recognise that there are several other posts on this (including here

but there doesn’t seem to have been any official response since 2012.

Are there any plans to offer P&L / Balance Sheet exports through the API?
Xero offer this and a range of other reports
(http://developer.xero.com/documentation/api/reports/).

A response would be much appreciated, even if it’s just a ‘not going to
happen’. Please let us know!

voting system there will be a need demonstrated for it in the future.

Good Morning Ben,

We’re currently focusing all of our efforts on our new iOS and (upcoming)
Android apps.
As part of this, we’re developing our API, though I don’t think there are
any immediate plans to expose Balance Sheet and P&L data.

So we can keep track of your request and it’s popularity among other API
users, we’ve added a card to our Trello board:

If you could add your vote to this card, we’re planning to deliver the most
popular functionality in future API releases.

My apologies that I can’t do more to help you at the moment. I hope the
data exposed by the /trial_balance endpoint is enough to keep you going for
now.

Hi,

I know your original message was posted a long time ago, but just in case you or anyone else returns to this thread, I wanted to let you know that we now support the balance sheet via the API. You can find the docs here.

Please do let us know if you use the new endpoint and anything doesn’t work as expected.

The docs for our existing P&L endpoint can be found here.
