Hi all,
We’ve recently added the ability to maintain foreign currency bank accounts
in FreeAgent, and as a result have updated the API to both expose this and
allow the creation of foreign currency accounts.
Bank accounts returned from the API now have an additional ‘currency’ XML
node/JSON key, and the POST and PUT actions take a ‘currency’ parameter
should you wish to create an account in a foreign currency or change the
currency of an existing account (providing it has no transactions).
Opening balances and transaction values should be posted in the account’s
currency (i.e. if the account is in USD, then
opening_balance/gross_value/manual_sales_tax_amount etc. should be USD
values).
Documentation for the bank accounts endpoint has been updated
