We’re a services company, where many customers have multiple contacts - particularly our medium to large customers.
As we migrate from Freshbooks to FreeAgent, this missing feature is apparent. Are there any plans to incorporate multiple contacts per customer (which FreeAgent calls “Contacts”)? In its current state, we will most likely have to create a customised integration so that we can notify multiple contacts.
We have successfully deployed a bi-directional integration between FreeAgent and our proprietary internal application, Bare-Finance. Because FreeAgent is primarily optimised for independent contractors, we built Bare-Finance to extend its native capabilities and handle more complex corporate structures.
As part of this data flow, we push basic identifier data to FreeAgent—specifically the Organisation Name, utilising “Accounts” as the First Name and “Payable” as the Last Name. Bare-Finance acts as our master database for managing complex customer contact profiles.
To accommodate clients operating across multiple jurisdictions or requiring distinct invoicing addresses, we provision separate, localised accounts within FreeAgent. However, we always maintain a single, top-level client organisation within Bare-Finance. This allows us to accurately consolidate overall relationship management, P&L, and Total Debtors reporting in one centralised location.
