Hi Marc,
I haven’t worked with the API in a few months (and am not aware of
what’s new with API 2.0), but my method was to get all of any entity
into a set of local objects and search there. It is a little slow but
even on my own business account (which is almost as old as FreeAgent
is), it takes a few seconds to download and process the XML of all
contacts, projects and invoices into a set of locally searchable
business objects.
I know this probably doesn’t fully answer your question…
