IMPORTANT: Sandbox Accounts and Developer Dashboard

Hello,

Later today I’m going to switch the FreeAgent Sandbox Accounts (
https://signup.sandbox.freeagent.com/signup) from talking to the staging
Developer Dashboard (https://staging.dev.freeagent.com) to the production
Developer Dashboard (https://dev.freeagent.com). This is necessary for the
following reasons:

  1. It’s confusing for new users who sign up at dev.freeagent.com that
sandbox accounts won’t work without a second sign up.
  2. Apps registered at dev.freeagent.com will work with Sandbox and
Production FreeAgent accounts which is much simpler for development and
    deployment

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

If you already have an account at dev.freeagent.com you’ll be able to use
apps registered there with both sandbox and production accounts. You can
ignore the account made at staging.dev.freeagent.com. Remember you to
update your apps in development to use the api keys from dev.freeagent.com.

If you only have an account at staging.dev.freeagent.com you’ll need to
create a new account at dev.freeagent.com and re-register your apps. I
know this is an inconvenience but you would have had to re-register anyway
to use apps with production FreeAgent accounts.

Kind regards,

Graeme

Hello,

Sandbox accounts are now using the production Developer Dashboard at
https://dev.freeagent.com. If you see problems with your apps please check
that you are using tokens from dev.freeagent.com and not the staging
server. Let me know if there’s any issues.

Cheers,
