It seems it’s not possible to create a bank transaction explanation with
type “Sale of Stock” right now, and GETting a manually created bank
transaction explanation also shows no trace of the underlying sale of stock
(only reflects the income category of the sale). This would be really
useful for programmatically explaining each Shopify/PayPal sale.
Notice this is not on the trello board. Any chance this feature could be
added to the list? Or any suggestions for workarounds? Doing it manually is
quite a pain, even with just one or two transactions a week. Thanks!
Unfortunately there’s no way to assign a stock item to a transaction yet.
However, I had a look around our code and it should not take long to add
the feature. I’ll get back to you once we have pushed the fix to production.
