Export existing FreeAgent data to Sandbox?

Hi

New to FreeAgent. I’m working with client to automate their invoicing from a bespoke online booking system into their existing FreeAgent account.

I’ve familiarised myself with the Sandbox using the OAuth 2.0 Playground and a temporary account, and now would like to try using the client’s data in the Sandbox rather than live data.

Is this possible?

Hi Sherratt,

Welcome to our forum and thanks for posting this question. Unfortunately, we do not have a way for you to transfer your client’s exact data from our production environment into Sandbox. Do you need to test specific data, or are you looking for generic dummy data to test with? The Sandbox does provide a full FreeAgent account so you should be able to create any specific data you need to test with via either the UI or by pushing up test data through the API.

Thanks. It’s a shame as it would have been good to test on a clone of the data before releasing to live.
