Direct links using Google Auth

We use the following link to auth users already signed in to Google,
straight into Freeagent.

https://login.freeagent.com/google_apps?domain=ourdomain.co.uk

Is there a way of forwarding users directly to a page after that? As our
app has links into Freeagent specific pages as well, but obviously they
will fail if the user happens not to be logged in at that time.

If you use the link I provided, the user is authed without them doing
anything. Which saves them even typing. But they end up on the home page.

If I link to a specific page they have to enter the details manually to
auth via the login screen.

I’m trying to combine the two. Go straight here, no need to manually auth.

You with me?On 16 May 2014 11:40, Caius Durling caius@freeagent.com wrote:

You should be able to send the user to the page within freeagent, and
logged in users have no issue seeing stuff. Users who aren’t signed in
should see the login screen and be able to login via google using that,
then be sent to the original page they were trying to access rather than
the overview page. Is there an issue with that workflow you’re seeing which
is why you’re sending users to the login link above directly?

Thanks,
C

Surely this is a pretty straight forward question?

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you, I had a play with the google apps login earlier, and I do understand your use case vs the normal login form now. From looking at the app flow for the google auth link, redirecting anywhere but to the overview page isn’t something we currently support though.

I can see how useful it would be for your customers, and anyone else using that login route as well however, so I’ve flagged it on our API feature requests. I’ll get back to you if we implement support for redirects, and let you know how to take advantage of it.

Thanks,
