Hi,
Is there a way of creating a UK Limited Company Client via the API using a
web signup form?
We want to have Companies signup via a form and automatically create them
with subdomain, logins etc via the API? Is this even possible?

Ah, that sounds about right then, and explains why they’d be asking you for
API integration with that 
You might want to direct them to chat to their FreeAgent representative to
see if there’s anything they can do.

Yes, that’s correct. Even if accounts could be provisioned, there’s still a
manual step where we send the user an activation email so they can set
their account up, and a further step where they have to approve any apps
that want to access their data via the API.
We do have a Practice Dashboard that allows Accountants to provision and
manage multiple FreeAgent accounts for their clients, which might be
something your client would be interested in. There’s no public API for the
Practice Dashboard, although maybe it would address their need directly?

The short answer here is “not via the public API”, I’m afraid — the API is
focussed on providing a way for developers to ask FreeAgent account holders
for access to their data, and so anything that FreeAgent account holders
can’t do within their accounts (such as provision new, separate accounts)
is outside the scope of the public API.
Can I ask what it is that you’re looking to provide such that asking users
to first sign up for a FreeAgent account via our signup page seems too
convoluted?
