Bank Feeds - Timing

Yo,

When do your bank feeds run? Roughly?

Cheers

Jon

Hi Jon,

The answer to your question depends on the type of bank feed you have.

Some bank feeds require multi-factor authentication (MFA) whereby the
customer needs to provide a security token, typically from a card-reader or
code generating fob.
For these feeds, customers have to manually press the “Import New
Transactions” button in FreeAgent, providing the MFA token at runtime, to
trigger an import.

Other banks use a repeatable set of security questions for access to online
banking, allowing for automated imports without customer intervention.
For these feeds, FreeAgent imports from our feed provider (Yodlee) around
3am each morning.

I hope this helps!

Hi Jon,

Just a word of warning, the 3am schedule is an indicator of our current
workflow.

I can’t promise this won’t change in time, perhaps opting to schedule our
imports across 24 hours (in sync with Yodlee’s data aggregation, for
example).

I just thought I’d made this clear before you develop a hard-dependency on
6am data availability.

Thanks,

I fully understand that you could tweak this as any point! It’s not an
essential function and we’d know if you changed pretty quickly anyway.

Thanks for the warning though…On 5 April 2016 at 12:44, David Jones david.jones@freeagent.com wrote:
