Automatic Emails on Invoice creation

Hi guys,

I am working with your API and I was wondering if there was any command to
tick the following boxes automatically when generating an invoice:

Email this invoice automatically using my default template

Email payment reminders if the invoice goes unpaid

Email a Thank You once this invoice has been paid
I have gone through the documentation and haven’t seen anything related to
that, so would appreciate a little help.

We should have these flags available in the next few days. They will indeed
be updatable after creation.

We’re about to use the API to create around 300 invoices and it would be
useful to have this enabled - do you have any idea about timescales or
whether these fields will be updatable after the invoice creation…?

Hi,

Just to let everyone know, we’ve added the flags back in August, and
documented them here
https://dev.freeagent.com/docs/invoices#create-an-invoice. Just set the
following flags and the invoice will be automatically sent:

  • send_new_invoice_emails (Optional, can only be set to true if
    templates exist)
  • send_reminder_emails (Optional, can only be set to true if templates
    exist)
  • send_thank_you_emails (Optional, can only be set to true if templates
    exist)
