I develop native and web-based apps for a number of accounting and legal firms in Scotland and the North of England. They’re usually for internal and staff use only. I’ve been approached by one company in particular with a view to developing a suite of add-ons for FreeAgent.
I have two queries that I’d appreciate some clarification on:
- Given that the add-ons would use (virtually) the same information from the FreeAgent system, would separate developer/partner APIs be required for each add-on? I’ve reviewed the online literature but don’t see anything that suggests it would be necessary.
- How accurate or current is the information from the bank feeds? Is there any delay, ie., next working day, or does the FreeAgent show a genuine balance? The aim is to offer an alert depending upon the balance in the bank at any one time.
