Feature request

Hello,

I’m representing Zipier Payroll https://www.zipier.com/ company. One of
the parts of our product is integration with accounting systems and posting
paystubs and taxes data in automatic mode. Your API has almost all
functions that we need. The only thing we were unable to locate in your
docs is creating accounts. We decided that the best solution for our needs
is to add a set of our accounts to a chart of accounts (categories in your
case). We would really appreciate if you could add this feature so we were
able to proceed with integration to your system.

Hi Kirill,

Unfortunately that’s not something the API offers at the minute. The
FreeAgent web application makes it possible to create custom income and
spending accounts, but not balance sheet accounts which I suspect you’d
need if you’re looking at integrating a payroll solution.

Instead might I suggest you look at mapping your accounts on to the
existing chart of accounts that FreeAgent provides? If you could do this it
should be possible to post journals from your payroll to correctly account
for payments to staff, pension and tax liabilities etc.
