API Key Upgrade

Hi,

I am writing to you on behalf of Bondable, a cloud service integration
platform.

We already use a basic API key supplied by you. But we are looking to
acquire a higher or favoured key with higher API limits, as we are now a
fully functional production app. We are picking up more customers and users
of your service looking to integrate with other services, so naturally
lowering the API restrictions will help the productivity of your customers.

It would also be beneficial to know, what the API restrictions will be on
both a free and paid account with your service?

Thank you for your time,

Bradley Hodson

Hi Jonathan,

I see. So what you are saying is all key’s have the same API limitations.

Would it be possible to know the exact amount of calls we can make?

We are not bumping into any issues as of yet. As our platform is getting
traction, more of our users are creating FreeAgent integrations and we just
wanted to know the limitation figures we are working with.

Thanks,

Hi Bradley,

Our API Terms page https://dev.freeagent.com/docs/api_terms outlines our
stance on restricting API
usagehttps://dev.freeagent.com/docs/api_terms#using-the-freeagent-api
:

We may impose technical restrictions on access to The API at any time, such

as requirements for Developers or API Applications to authenticate
themselves; geographical restrictions; or limits on the number of API calls
which any API Application can make

At present, we don’t have blanket restrictions on API usage, beyond
restricting page sizes for result sets (up to 100 results per page).
Obviously, though, we do monitor usage, and would endeavour to reach out to
developers in the first instance if we saw usage patterns where we felt we
had concerns about volume.

Hope this helps,

-J

Hi Bradley,

FreeAgent doesn’t implement tiered API access in the way you’re suggesting.
Can I ask what API limits and restrictions you’re currently bumping into?

Thanks,
