# API Access to Invoice Online Payment Checkbox

Hi there

Is there any way to enable online payment using Stripe via the API? Does  
the box actually need to be checked or can we just generate a URL to enable  
people to pay without doing this?

Hi David,

Thank you for your message and my apologies the delayed response; we’ve  
been delivering some new API functionality and I wanted to check whether  
your query was affected.

I’m afraid that it’s not currently possible to manage online payment  
methods via the API.  
That said, we’re collating a list of API feature requests and I’ve created

Please could I ask you to “vote” on this card to register your interest in  
the feature; we’d love to deliver our most popular requests in future API  
releases.

I’m sorry that I can’t give you better news at this time!

Just a quick pointer to [Online Payment Methods](https://api-discuss.freeagent.com/t/online-payment-methods/782) where we’ve announced support (in beta currently) for online payment methods in the API.
